...Is not the question we're answering, but more why is it important to clean a vacuum cleaner, or any cleaning machine for that matter?
You wouldn't run a car without oil and coolant otherwise it wouldn't drive properly, so why do cleaning machines get so much neglect? Here's list of reasons it is imperative to stay on top of your equipment's health and hygiene with servicing:
Routine servicing of cleaning machines is akin to giving them a rejuvenating spa treatment. It involves giving the machine a thorough inspection and cleaning/ replacing worn-out parts. This ensures that the machine functions optimally, delivering consistent and reliable performance.
Just as regular exercise and healthy eating habits promote longevity in humans, servicing extends the lifespan of cleaning machines. By addressing minor issues before they escalate into major problems, servicing prevents premature wear and tear. Replacing motor brushes, checking electrical connections, and cleaning filters are all part of the process to keep machines in top condition. As a result, businesses save on costly repairs and replacements while enjoying prolonged usage of their equipment.
The age-old adage, "prevention is better than cure," holds true in the realm of cleaning machine maintenance. Investing in regular servicing may seem like an additional expense, but it ultimately translates into significant cost savings over time. By detecting potential issues early on, businesses can avoid expensive breakdowns and emergency repairs. Moreover, well-maintained machines consume less energy and require fewer consumables, contributing to lower operational costs in the long run.
Safety is paramount in any workplace, and cleaning environments are no exception. Neglected machines pose risks not only to the equipment itself but also to the operators and bystanders. Faulty electrical connections, worn-out brushes, or malfunctioning sensors can lead to accidents or injuries. Through regular servicing, these hazards are identified and rectified, ensuring a safer working environment for all. Additionally, compliant servicing practices adhere to industry standards and regulations, mitigating legal liabilities for businesses.
In the pursuit of cleanliness, cleaning machines inadvertently become breeding grounds for dust, dirt, and allergens. Without proper maintenance, these contaminants recirculate into the air, compromising indoor air quality. However, servicing involves thorough cleaning of filters, suction systems, and exhaust vents, thereby reducing airborne particles. As a result, occupants enjoy a healthier and more comfortable indoor environment, free from respiratory irritants and allergens.
In today's competitive market, reputation is everything. Businesses that prioritise maintenance and uphold high standards of cleanliness are viewed favorably by clients and customers. A well-maintained fleet of cleaning machines not only demonstrates professionalism but also reflects a commitment to quality service delivery. This positive image not only attracts new clients but also fosters loyalty among existing ones, ultimately driving business growth and success.
How often you get your equipment serviced really depends on how often you use it and what you're using it for. If you clean for hours every day and you are cleaning up lots of dirt then we would recommend getting it serviced every 3 months. However, if you're only cleaning once or twice a week and aren't dealing with a lot of dirt then the minimum we would suggest is once a year. Generally we suggest every 6 months for average use.
So, if you're looking to keep your equipment in top shape then be sure to get it regularly serviced so it can keep doing it's job safely and to the best of it's ability, for longer. We service all types of cleaning machines, vacuum cleaners being one of them. Which poses the earlier question, are we vacuum cleaners?
